Central Park Fun for Children

Huntington Central Park is the city's largest park, consisting of over 350 acres. There are more than five separate play stations in the park, three of them in Central Park West, one in Central Park East and on at Huntington Beach Sports Complex. The newest play station at the complex is beautiful and fun for kids. It is located not far from Central Library and Cultural Center and sits next to snack bars and restroom facilities.

Pictured is one created for physically disabled youth. It overlooks Lake Huntington and is within view of another playground. Closest to Central Park Drive parking lot and the covered picnic shelter, it is accessible via a paved walking path.

One other playground in Central Park West can be reached by parking at the parking lot off Inlet Drive, not far from the H.B. Dog Park. The fourth play set is in Central Park East (the library side of Golden West Street) and is located near the Slater Street parking lot, just behind Armstrong Gardens.
