Huntington Beach Playhouse is located at
Huntington Beach Central Library Cultural Center in beautiful
Central Park. The playhouse has provided entertainment, theater arts training and
scholarships to local theater students for over 35 years. Plays are
performed in Central Library Theater, a modern 319-seat facility
featuring air conditioning, assisted listening devices, wheelchair
accessibility and free
parking.
The community theater is a nonprofit organization
that stages eight shows a year. Seven are performed on its
main stage theater at Central Library and Cultural Center.
“Shakespeare in the Park” production is a special event held
outdoors in Central Park Amphitheater each year in July.
Volunteers are
needed! Community Theater is possible only through the support of
volunteers. Run for the Board of Directors, work backstage or join
the ushers and hosts as a member of Encore. Call (714) 375-0696 for
information. This is not the official HB Playhouse.
