ABOUT
HUNTINGTON BEACH CONCERT AND BANDS -
The City of
Huntington Beach enjoys numerous outdoor summer
concerts with a fantastic line up of bands for
the public to enjoy free of charge during the
months of May through September. From free
afternoon concerts overlooking the famous
Huntington Beach Pier and Pacific Ocean at
cement amphitheatre style Pier Plaza seating, to
parking lot concerts at the International
Surfing Museum and old-fashioned picnic basket &
blanket concerts in the sun or shade of the
naturally-sloped hills behind Huntington Central
Library at Huntington Central Park, tourists and
local residents delight in these community
events. This shared experience where music
floats through the sweet, summer air of a
comfortable beach city helps the well being of
all who partake. Music and its harmonic sounds
are as basic as the forms of communication
utilized by birds inhabiting the beaches and
parks.
Southern
California enjoys a wealth of talented musicians
from around the globe who bring their musical
styles to Huntington Beach. The summer season
celebrates the harmonious spirit that makes
Huntington Beach shine bright! Don't be
surprised to find folks hopping out of their
seats, singing, dancing and clapping to the
beats of the many musical styles featured. Naida
Osline of the City of Huntington Beach
tirelessly seeks and finds the greatest talent
and unique variety of music for the Pier Plaza
Concerts. At the International Surfing Museum
Linda Miller has taken the surf genre to a new
level. She has booked an incredible list of
surfing bands known throughout the musical
community. Attend one of the Surfing Sunday
Concerts and you'll be amazed that the players
are top notch. At Central Park, the Huntington
Beach Band, a community volunteer band is
featured along with an incredible line up that
includes the likes of Tom Kubis. A composer and
musician known throughout the world, Tom Kubis
is a local talent in great demand for his
complex and creative compositions.
One thing is
for certain. When you attend one of the free
summer concerts in Huntington Beach, you won't
get what you paid for. You will receive the
finest music from professionals artists who
enjoy playing to the receptive crowds Huntington
Beach is known for.
