by the City
of
Huntington
Beach Park
Maintenance
department.
Adjacent to
a red brick
school
building,
the park is
a great
neighborhood
playground
for young
and old. It
includes a
large grass
field,
several
picnic
tables, a
playground
with jungle
gym set in
sand and
sidewalks
perfect for
bicycling,
roller
blading,
skating and
walking.
When
visiting
Franklin
Park, you
might see
people
walking
their dogs
in the
field, kids
batting base
balls or
kicking
soccer balls
and children
climbing
ladders on
the play
set.
Bounded
by major
streets
Springdale,
Westminster,
Bolsa and
Skylab Road,
not far from
Boeing
Company,
Franklin
Park enjoys
cool
afternoon
breezes and
sunshine.
There is one
large shade
tree near
the
playground
and several
recently
planted
trees that
promise to
one day
offer
additional
shade.
Franklin
Park has no
restroom
facilities.
