and Dining Downtown
Downtown Huntington Beach is the
shopping and dining district at the beach featuring more outdoor
dining and young and trendy shops than you'll find at beaches that
surround Huntington. Whether looking for a delicious meal that
includes hamburgers, shrimp, fish, sushi, lobster, crab, steak,
chicken and even hot dogs, go to downtown Huntington Beach.
Two store alone specialize in hot dogs.
But they don't have bands. If you're looking for food and
nightlife, there are many choices with live bands, DJs, acoustic
music or even hula-themed Hawaiian ukulele tunes. Huntington Beach
features live entertainment every evening. Happy hours,
cocktail specials and great evening dining along with blues music,
rock, sports bars, sports nights and the atmosphere of Cheers'
neighborhood pub are part of this vibrant scene in Surf City.
We call Huntington Beach the outdoor
dining capital because there are more restaurants with outdoor
tables than you can find elsewhere. Well-behaved pets can
actually come with owners and share dinner time as a family like
they do at home.
The food alone can get you down to the
beach. But the entertainment booking agents do a bang up job of
attracting great acts from Hollywood that come down to Orange County
to test their material to this hip audience and the results are
tremendous. Nearly every night after 10 p.m. a club environment
heats up with comedy, live music and adult acts for the 21+ crowd.
Shopping is tops in downtown Huntington
Beach. With souvenir stores, an amazing selection of clothing,
swimsuits, surf wear and surf gear, sunglasses, chocolate
confections, ceramics gifts and antiques, downtown shopping
was voted Number One in Orange County for youth, teens and young
adults.
You can shop, dine and still work on
location with the help of copy and print services, fax and
Internet access. The hotels along the downtown shopping district are
there for you if you want to visit, stick around and soak up the sun
and downtown Huntington Beach ambiance. There's even a movie theater
at the beach to catch up on the features you've missed because
you've been too busy eating, shopping and relaxing at the beach.
Downtown Huntington Beach stretches from
Main Street to the beach and Huntington Beach Pier at Pacific Coast
Highway, then extends out from there for several blocks.
