Along Pacific Coast Highway the Seal Beach house is surrounded by Sunset Beach and Surfside.

When a Realtor recently said the water tower house in Seal Beach was for sale again, it was a surprise to know that this unique property on stilts is in Seal Beach. Woody's Diner in front of it is on Pacific Coast Highway in Sunset Beach. Across Anderson Street is Huntington Beach. And on the other side of the water tower house is gated Surfside, which is separated from Seal Beach by a channel and bridge that spans the Anaheim Bay. One of those odd zoning quirks must be in play here, but what is certain is that Woody's Diner has served up hot food and cold beers and shakes for a number of years. The colorful building and good food make this local favorite worth a cultural stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It opens at 6 a.m.
