HUNTINGTON BEACH SKATE PARK PHOTOS AND INFORMATION - SURF CITY CALIFORNIA USA

Huntington Beach Skate Park features concrete banks, ledges, rails, a curb and great views of Huntington High School.

Huntington Beach Skate Park - This Skate Park is Gone! It was permanently removed.
1905 Main Street, Huntington Beach, California 92648

Peer into the shop windows of Main Street downtown region and you will see shirts with sayings such as "Skateboarding is not a Crime". Skateboarding reigns as one of Huntington Beach's favorite sports and is a sanctioned event that comes in the Top Ten Events for Huntington Beach annually. Not only is it included in the largest sporting event festival, US Open of Surfing and Beach Games held the last week of July and first week of August, it is also featured as a main event in Core Tour extreme sports extravaganza held in Huntington Beach usually in September. Returning recently after several years was Van's Triple Crown of Skate held at Huntington State Beach in September.

To accomplish the tremendous feats and tricks tourists come to watch at these events, locals must have a place to practice. Huntington Beach free skate parks provide a starting point for hours and years of training required to become the best.

There are three free public Skate Parks in Huntington Beach. Pictured is the facility in front of Huntington Beach High School, located on Main Street near Yorktown. It features concrete banks, ledges, rails, and a curb.

You'll find it near the sign for Sheue Athletic Field. To get there from the pier, you need to go approximately two miles (or less) down Main Street. After passing the intersection of 17th Street, you are nearly there. It will be  on the left side of Main Street before you reach the Yorktown stop light. (See map right)
Skate parks are open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM, no lighting. On Golden West Street near Warner Ave., Murdy Park Skate center has concrete undersized banks, ledges, and a little room to push. Free to public, rules and regulations posted at facilities.
