HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. OKTOBERFEST 2013 -- Manfred Haas with'Schwaubapower 'hails from Deutschland (Germany) where he is known for his masterful presentation of cultural favorites showcasing his accordion skills that Old World Oktoberfest crowds really love. It's fair to say that Haas has it wired both figuratively and physically with his vivacious sounds that audiences can cheer & dance to easily.

Part of the showmanship of the fast fingers performer comes when a German dirndl-dressed maiden places a sheet over the keyboard of his accordion and a blindfold over his eyes as he continues to play, not missing a single note.

accordion player If you step up close to see his accordion under those spotlights on the Oktoberfest stage, you'll notice he's performing with a gorgeous Italian Beltuna brand accordion '('bel' means beautiful' in Italian and 'tuna' 'is tune'.) 'It appears to be a Studio IV piano model, which is known for its light body, superb craftsmanship and handy wooden keyboard with extremely fast action. Sharp and soft register and wide variety sound variations have been made possible, thanks to Amplisound, a patented resonance body. Unlike chalosies etc., which modify sound, Amplisound 'has no loss in the sound level.

In 2013 Haas returns to Huntington Beach Oktoberfest with a ton of oom-pah! The German dynamo and Schwaubapower band are featured September 8- October 27, 2013 in the beer hall and beer gardens at Old World German Restaurant. Stick around to see that they don't play just German dance music, but also know how to get down and rock out. Such shows are featured as the night wears on during Friday and Saturday night adults only Oktoberfest event.
