Windows Gallery Artist Corner at Huntington Beach Central Library, California

Huntington Beach, CA--Windows Gallery at Huntington Beach Central Library and Cultural Center is an artists' space operated by the nonprofit Huntington Beach Art League. Lest you feel you are not getting a fair shake as an artist, you can join the league for an affordable price and enter artwork into the gallery open exhibits and annual competitions. But there is also another opportunity to get shown. For a rental fee after applying and waiting your turn you can hold your very own exhibition in the the Artist Corner, a small glassed room with carpeted wall panels where you can hang your original paintings, place sculptures, and hang photographs for a month.

Many artists have enjoyed showcasing their art to the world in this space where they experience much control over the display. Exhibitors can even host receptions for their month-long art exhibit events.

Windows Gallery is named for the amazing, expansive window space that reflects the surroundings ranging from Central Park with its outdoor water fountains, to the indoor architecture overlooking a huge spiral walkway, tall columns and water treatments that cascade and splash to the space below.

As another option for smaller bodies of work, you can enter the annual non-juried exhibit at the City of Huntington Beach's Art Center. That exhibit limits your entries to several, first come first serve, and does charge a fee for entry into the gallery exhibit that runs approx. one month. That gallery is located on the 500 block of Main Street just five short blocks from the beach.

Windows Gallery and Artists Corner are located in Central Park at 7111 Talbert Ave. They are open during library hours and are located on the main floor of the library. As you enter the building, veer left. The gallery is between the Children's Library Wing and the stacks. or
