Even dogs can spend the day at Huntington City
Beach at a special section called 'Dog Beach,'
located between Seapoint Avenue and Golden
West Street. Here two- and four-legged visitors
can romp freely in the surf. It's not unusual to spot
a tail wagging atop a surfboard as man and his
best friend ride a wave in tandem.
Several
events include surfing dog
competitions in which dogs actually
mount (with the help of owners) the
board and ride a wave.
Special
rules for bringing dogs include no
dogs in heat, no aggressive dogs and
biters, and owners should be in
control of their well-behaved pets,
always cleaning up the messes their
dog makes.
By

assure the survival of this beach
asset loved by visitors and
residents of Huntington Beach.
