Opens HSS Girl

Huntington Surf
and Sport (HSS),
Orange County’s
premier surf,
skate and
fashion store,
announces the
grand opening of
its newest
addition,
HSS Girl,
on April 2 and
3, 2005. The
store, located
on 126 Main
Street in
Huntington
Beach, features
clothing,
accessories and
shoes from top
surf/skate
lifestyle brands
like Roxy,
Volcom, Paul
Frank, Hurley
and O’Neill.
The HSS Girl
grand opening is
open to the
public. On the
schedule is a
Friday evening
reception and
weekend
storewide sale.
Saturday female
surfers will
sign autographs
from 12 p.m. to
2 p.m. and the
day will end
with a wetsuit
and surfboard
raffle at 2 p.m.
“We want to
support women’s
side of the
sport,” said
Aaron Pai, owner
of HSS. “HSS
Girl shows our
commitment.”
Erin Nichols,
buyer of HSS
Girl, said surf
companies are
taking notice of
the fashion
conscience girl.
“The companies
are taking
elements of high
fashion and
reinterpreting
into their
junior’s lines.
They are
becoming more
fashion savvy
without
alienating their
core customer
base.
“We opened the
store on this
demand from our
customers. HSS
Girl caters to
the fashionable
girl and
provides the
necessities for
the surfing
girl. We are one
of the first
surf shops to
bring together
the boutique and
surf
accessories.
We’ve also
accommodated for
a bigger
customer base
ranging from two
years old to our
target market,
15 to 25 years
old.”
Parking for the
event is
available in the
downtown parking
structures and
the beach
parking lots
located across
Pacific Coast
Highway.
Huntington Surf
and Sport is a
community surf
