tennis court

Pictured is tennis court at Marina Park, Huntington Beach, California

Tennis is one of America's top sports and Huntington Beach believes nobody should give it up, not even visitors staying in Huntington Beach. Not only can guests of the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa and Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort play at courts overlooking the Pacific Ocean, guests at other hotels can play free of charge at courts throughout Huntington Beach.

Free public facilities are also available. Most courts operate from morning until 10 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis. Lighted tennis courts are available at these public parks and community locations:

Edison Community Park, 21377 Magnolia Street (at Magnolia Avenue) - Reservations: (714) 960-8870
Murdy Community Park, 7000 Norma Drive off Golden West Street between Warner and Heil Avenues - (714) 960-8895
Marina Community Park, 15871 Graham Street
Le Bard Park off Brookhurst at Indianapolis behind the Huntington Beach City School District offices.

Other places you can sometimes play tennis when school isn't in session include: Golden West College, Harbour View Park and Ocean View High School.

For tennis lessons, Seacliff Country Club, Golden West College and Huntington Beach Community Services Department all offer tennis lessons on a regular basis.
