BUSHARD PARK HUNTINGTON BEACH CALIFORNIA PHOTOS AND INFORMATION

Bushard Park features a beautiful brick gazebo framed by several trees and surrounded by lush, green lawns.

Bushard Park
Havenhurst Lane
Huntington Beach, CA

Bushard Park is tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood and features a beautifully constructed sand-colored brick shelter or gazebo.  The park is on a 2.5 acre lot that provides a walkway entrance to Isojiro Oka Elementary on 9800 Yorktown Ave. Huntington Beach 92646, (714) 378-4260. That's where the larger play equipment and basketball courts are located as shown in photo on left.

Bushard Park, named after early Huntington Beach settlers, meets all a child's or adult's needs for a relaxing afternoon. Kids can climb the ladders and play on the slides while adults can enjoy leisurely strolls on the grass lawn or play ball games. There are two picnic tables at the park, which has free curbside parking on Woodlawn Drive, Havenhurst Lane, Warburton Drive and Clancy Lane.  The park is bounded by major streets Yorktown, Brookhurst, Adams and Bushard. There are many restaurants nearby on the major streets listed  that offer food you can take out and bring to the picnic area.

Huntington Beach Parks

The City of Huntington Beach (California) is the caretaker and steward of the Huntington Beach public park system. Two departments involved with Huntington Beach parks are the Community Services Department and Park Maintenance. Park Maintenance is responsible for maintaining approximately 67 parks and public facilities, totaling 598 acres, 169 playground apparatus and irrigation systems.

Park Maintenance is also an integral component in special events in the City, closely working with Community Services to set up for events and activities that take place on or near park facilities. Community Services not only handles the rental of the park facilities but also operates programs for the public that include softball leagues, exercise classes, cooking, dancing and other types of interesting and fun things to do. For more information on park maintenance call (714) 536-5480.  For information on park facilities or to make a reservation call Community Services at (714) 536-5486 or the phone numbers provided on the featured parks pages.
