carr park

Chris Carr Park is located on Springdale Street at the Heil Avenue intersection. It features picnic tables, playgrounds, huge green fields and lots of birds.

Chris Carr Park
Springdale Street at Heil Avenue
Huntington Beach, California 92649

At Chris Carr Park in Huntington Beach, you can take the kids to play, watch the ducks and birds in the artificial lake, have a picnic or play a game in the large grass fields.

More than a neighborhood playground, people who pass by this lovely oasis cannot resist the temptation to stop and soak up the sensations of the the day.  There's almost always someone enjoying the park, located across the street from  Saint Bonaventure Church, which is popular for weddings, weekly mass, special holiday services and special events such as an annual carnival.

A picnic table provides the perfect setting for relaxation and recreation. You might want to invite a friend to play a game of chess at the outdoor table. Or maybe you just want to do nothing at all. To discover Chris Carr Park, you can drive your car and park it along the curb directly in front of the small lake. Parking is free.

Huntington Beach Parks

The City of Huntington Beach (California) is the caretaker and steward of the Huntington Beach public park system. Two departments involved with Huntington Beach parks are the Community Services Department and Park Maintenance. Park Maintenance is responsible for maintaining approximately 67 parks and public facilities, totaling 598 acres, 169 playground apparatus and irrigation systems.

Park Maintenance is also an integral component in special events in the City, closely working with Community Services to set up for events and activities that take place on or near park facilities. Community Services not only handles the rental of the park facilities but also operates programs for the public that include softball leagues, exercise classes, cooking, dancing and other types of interesting and fun things to do. For more information on park maintenance call (714) 536-5480.  For information on park facilities or to make a reservation call Community Services at (714) 536-5486 or the phone numbers provided on the featured parks pages.
