Taco Surf Surfside -  Beach Dining, Music, Tacos, Surfing

taco surf

Taco Surf, 16821 Pacific Coast Hwy, Surfside, CA. Call: (562) 592-2290

Taco Surf is a Mexican cantina at the California Beach. Spread into several rooms with dining, a live music - band area and bar with tall tables and raised bar-chair style seating, it's amazing to see just how popular this restaurant and entertainment venue is.  Serving steaming hot Mexican dishes, chips and salsa, sandwiches and great beer and cocktails, people gravitate to this location on Pacific Coast Highway in Surfside near the Anaheim Bay and bridge. With a location a block from the beach and popular windsurfing / surfing location in Sunset Beach, the restaurant is an obvious choice for dining and socializing.

Overlooking the water tower house and close to a string of popular hang-outs in Sunset Beach such as Turcs, Irish Mist, Mother's Tavern, Harpoon Harry's, Captain Jack's, Woody's Diner, Shorehouse Cafe and J. King Neptune, it shares a phenomenon known to this region. Loyal customers don't expect high tech, fancy surroundings. They enjoy good food, good people and good music at many of the diners and bars and good vibes.

Groups such as Mid Life Crisis that enjoyed a long run playing their songs at Taco Surf have moved on. But there's always room for new talent, up and coming artists and local favorites to provide live music that's enjoyed each week at Taco Surf.

Established in 1988 as the dream of a father and son to bring the heart and soul of Mexico to Southern California, the recipes they created are simple, tasty and extremely popular.  The menu serves a variety of Mexican dishes Americans have grown to love. Two favorites include the Red Snapper served three different ways and the Tamales made fresh daily.

Taco Surf is located on the west side of Pacific Coast Highway in Sunset Beach near the intersection of Anderson and PCH.

Enjoy appetizers such as hot wings and nachos with refried beans and jack cheese served with a variety of cold beers. Main dish entrees include Pescado Dinner with Pacific Red Snapper lightly grilled with fresh mango sauce, Carne Asada flank steak charbroiled and garnished with pico and guacamole, Taco Plates, Fajitas, Chile Rellenos made fresh daily, Enchiladas Rancheras and Authentic Tamales with Zesty Red Sauce (voted best in town).
