Silver Family Story

All things water-related make Jeff Silver happy. He's lived here for 46 years, and is still
surfing at least twice a week. Add to that...he's a Corinthian member of the Huntington Harbour
Yacht Club, and a past grand marshal for the Huntington Harbour boat parade. Even his
business is all about the water - Austin Foam Cores (they make surfboard blanks). "I love
this city," said Jeff.

Equally as enthusiastic about life here in Surf City is wife Robin. "I've been here for
15 years," said Robin. "Jeff brought me here and said this is where we need to raise our
children and he was right."

Both Robin and Jeff help out with kids Kelsey and Hannah in Girl Scouts, Indian
Princess, Harbour View School, and Marine View Middle School. "We love it here too,"
both children say in unison.

Kelsey was proud to be the winner of the first-ever Surf City Nights Idol contest last year in her
age group of 11-17. "There are so many opportunities for fun and relaxation here," said Jeff.
"Our children are so happy here."

What is the best kept secret in Huntington Beach' The family agrees that it is the waterways
of Huntington Harbour. "Many people who visit Huntington Beach don't even realize that the
Harbour exists," said Robin.

"I hope our children come back here to raise their own children," smiled Robin. It gets
in your blood."
