Nichols Family Story

The Nichols Family

'Kindness, consideration, thoughtfulness and not fighting' are the keys to a happy family, according to Phyllis and Tim Nichols, and their advice is not just so much lip service. These long time Huntington Beach residents ' Phyllis came from New York over 25 years ago, Tim played baseball at Edison High School ' enjoy a very close relationship with Tim's ex-wife, her husband and their boys, and share daughter Evelyn and adored granddaughter Ashlee as 'one big, happy family!'

While Tim enjoys spending off-road time with his mistress (a jeep named 'Bellyrash'), Phyllis is active in Soroptimist, the Duck-A-Thon support group and serves on the board of directors of the Huntington Beach 3/1 Marines Foundation.

They both love St. John's for vacation, but would choose to live right where they do in the Northwest part of Huntington Beach.

When at home, favorite places include Norma Gibbs park, 'our magnificent library,' the pier and downtown area and 'any party at Don and Marilyn MacAllister's house.' Tim's a long time fan of Don Ramon's Mexican restaurant and Phyllis thinks Central Park is the most underrated jewel of the city.

As they imagine what the next 100 years will be like in Huntington Beach, they hope it will include peace, prosperity and happiness ' and civic leaders who really care about the people and the city.

We just hope for more residents like Tim and Phyllis Nichols!.
