David and Lori Hicks are 28-year residents of Huntington
Beach . Ashley, A.J., and Faith were born and raised
here in HB. David and Lori met in Las Vegas. When David
came to Los Angeles to attend college, Lori followed.
David is an engineer at Boeing, Lori a dental hygienist.
The Hicks have a wide
range of activities and interests in HB. They love the
beach. They go to Central Park for bicycling and
cinnamon rolls. They spend time at the Library and go
kayaking in the harbor. They love the Christmas boat
cruise and the 4th of July parade. They can be found at
El Ranchito and Coldstone. And they participate in 5k
walk-run events.
Among their community
activities have been coaching soccer, little league, and
basketball. They have been active in HBHS Boosters and
volunteered at the Library. They have served Meals on
Wheels and have assisted in Project Self Sufficiency,
babysitting while parents took classes.
While many HB residents
love and watch the 4th of July Parade, few people can
make the claim that the Hicks can. They have perhaps the
youngest parade watcher ever. Their daughter attended
the parade when she was only 2 weeks old!
