Delany-Beane Family Story

A lot of people like the desert and a hot, dry climate. But it's tough to keep them there after they've seen Huntington Beach. So it was for the Delany-Beane Family: Mom Lisa, Dad Don, daughter Ashley, and son Ryan. After several years in Arizona, they traded sand for surf and have been in HB for 11 years.

Don is a safety director for an underground pipeline company. Lisa works in a medical office. Ashley, a graduate of CSU Long Beach, currently works in day care in Huntington Harbour, and Ryan is a political science major at UC Irvine. Both Ashley and Ryan are Huntington Beach High School grads.

Don, who had previously lived in Huntington Beach, was a surfer in earlier days. These days the family likes to hang out at the beach, ride their bikes there, and walk on the pier. Some of the attractions in HB that they especially enjoy are Tuesdays on Main St. for Surf City Nights, the 4th of July parade, and shopping at Five Points and Bella Terra. They are also involved in their church.

The Delany-Beane Family is very typical of Huntington Beach families, enjoying the great attractions and activities HB has to offer, from Downtown all the way up to Bella Terra.
