Rainbow Disposal Changes Name, Serves

Rainbow Disposal, which serves Orange County cities– Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Irvine– has changed its name and appearance to Rainbow Environmental Services. Rainbow says it does more than dispose of waste as the company diverts the majority of waste from landfills and recycles. Rainbow Environmental Services (formerly Rainbow Disposal) was named the 2009 Climate Action Leader by the Secretary of the California Environmental Protection Agency, an award that honors sustainability.

Rainbow has been involved in the research and development of conversion technologies, offers a variety of retail products and services, like a free household hazardous waste collection center, rent-a-bins, residential and commercial roll-off services, bulky item pick-up, a CNG (compressed natural gas) fueling station that is open to the public and more than nine soil products recycled from locally sourced green materials. The company also provides services and products for commercial businesses such as a commercial recycling program, recycled aggregate for road base, compactor pick-up and large bins for construction companies.

Employee-owned and in existence for 50 years, the local contact phone numbers for services remain the same as of late 2011.
