HB Local Hosts New Radio Show on Going Green – The Green Orange
The Green Orange was launched on July 30 and can be heard each week from from 9 – 9:30 a.m. PST on KOCI Radio 101.5 FM. If you are not in the Orange County area or can’t pick up the radio signal, you can listen online at kociradio.com (worldwide), and click on Audio Channel 1 to stream the show live.
For those who remember TV producer Steve Ray, a former Huntington Beach planning commissioner who sought to help get Huntington Beach classified within the zone for Los Angeles movie and film productions, this new venture is a welcomed asset to providing local news and information to the Orange County audience from one of HB’s best. Ray produces and acts as host on this new radio program.
The Green Orange is a show about our environment and how environmental issues impact your health. Ray discusses topics such as water supply and quality, energy problems and alternative sources, open space and parks, recreation opportunities, air quality and other important and timely subjects with experts, public officials, business leaders, scientists and environmental and conservation advocates. One important theme covered throughout is what role we, as individuals and families, can play to improve our environment and ensure our survival on Mother Earth.
The guest on my inaugural show former Newport Beach Councilmember Jean Watt, President of Friends, Harbors, Beaches and Parks and the “godmother” of environmental activism in Orange County.
A new episode of The Green Orange will play on KOCI Radio and online at kociradio.com every Saturday morning at 9 AM.
